I got to try out the USB travel shaver and let me say I have never seen something like this before. They is something I could see all the businessman having in their briefcase. This travel shaver is the size of a smartphone and does not look like a shaver. It has a built in usb port so you can put it in to a laptop/computer. This is just perfect if you are on the go. Having the usb charger means that no overseas outlet adapters either if traveling abroad!
The ShaveTech does have a 300 charge expected battery lifetime; which should last the average American male just over 2 years. This may not seem like a lot, but the device is intended for travel use, and is priced very reasonably. The unit is also covered by a 1 year warranty for wear and tear damage due to regular use or faulty parts; simply keep the proof of purchase with the box. Operation is surprisingly simple, with an on/off switch, and easy snap off foil head. The head beneath is easily maintained and cleaned with the included brush, and ShaveTech can be protected when stored in the included velvet pouch.
Battery life is rated at approximately 30 minutes, which is pretty much what I got out of mine. I gave this to my older nephew for him to shave with! He said that first charge kept it going strong for six daily five-minute-ish shaves – which made it easy for him to shave every day. On the seventh shave, it let him know its battery was getting low by suddenly yanking on some of his whiskers and shutting itself off.
The ShaveTech travel razor is available for purchase on the ShaveTech site in black or white for $29.99
