My little niece Aleecia is a girlie girl. With 2 older brothers I am amazed that they have not turned her into a tomboy. She is all about playing with dolls. Dressing them, brushing their hair and carrying them around everywhere she goes as if they are her babies. She has always wanted a American Girl Doll but I could not justify spending a large amount of $$$ on one. So, I was really surprised when I got the opportunity to review a Springfield Doll.
I chose the doll Emma because of her lovely brown hair! She’s an 18-inch doll with a soft cloth body and a smooth vinyl head and limbs. Her long-lashed, sparkling, lifelike brown eyes open and close, and she’s posable with jointed arms and legs. (Shoes and accessories are sold separately)
Emma was welcomed into the family with open arms. I thought Aleecia was going to scream when she opened the box and found Emma. I like the Springfield Collection because my niece can play with a doll that is easy to care for. The face, arms and arms can easily be washed if it gets dirty with a damp towel, the torso and lower portion are made of soft fabric and the hair when brushed holds up to younger kids who are not as gentle.
