Pickled Eggs Recipe

Today I’m going to be sharing an easy egg pickling recipe with you all. I will be using a new kitchen gadget I receive for review. This is my first recipe post with photos. I hope you all enjoy it and if you want to see more post like this go ahead and let me know.

The recipe is from my mother this is what she did for my sister and I when we were little.

Ingredients I used are 6 hard-boiled eggs and pickle juice. You can also add Jalapenos if you want the eggs to have a little spice to them.

How I boil eggs: Place eggs in a pot and cover with cold water. Then place your pot over high heat and bring water to a rolling boil. Let the eggs stand in the hot water for 15 minutes.  Drain eggs and put them in a bowl filled with ice water.

I used The NEGG to get my eggs peeled perfectly but don’t shake it too hard like I did the first time because my egg did not make it. The NEGG is very easy to use all you have to do is add 1/4 cup of water to the Negg, add your hard-boiled egg and snap on the cap and you are good to shake. Shake until you feel the shell begin to “soften” and this took me approximately 4 to 6 times but each egg is different.

When you’re all finished using The Negg make sure you rinse all your eggs before adding them to your pickle juice. As you can see from the photo you are left with beautiful eggs. You might be thinking why not just peel the eggs yourself right? That might be an easier thing to do but if you’re like me I always end up peeling egg white off with the shells.

Add all your eggs to your pickle juice then screw on the lid and place them in the refrigerator. After about a week or two you will have perfect pickled eggs.
