Authority’s nail polish is always 5-free: Free of Formaldehyde, Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), Toluene, Camphor, and Formaldehyde Resin, making it a safer choice for even younger fashion divas. All of our formulas are vegan friendly, meaning absolutely no animal by-products are used. It’s also cruelty free: It’s never tested on animals. Maintaining high quality standards is a top priority, and the long-lasting, glossy finishes on our bold colors are sure to impress!

The Inspiration
Authority Cosmetics was founded in early 2013. Worried about the toxins and chemicals in nail polish and other make-up, we set out to find non-toxic cosmetics. With little results, the mission was on! From there, out of a passion for non-toxic beauty products, Authority Cosmetics was born.
Maintaining high quality standards has always been a top priority during the development of Authority. Working with other U.S.-based companies who practice sustainability is key, as we understand the importance of protecting our beautiful planet and preserving it for future generations to enjoy. Recognizing the importance of animal safety, Authority has made a promise to never use any animal by-products in its formulations, nor will we ever test on animals. We stand by our word when we say we’re “cruelty free.”

Mermaid Tail is a turquoise/green crème. I am in love with this color and love the way it looks on my nails. I only needed one coat.
Gumdrop is a bold and girly shade of pink that’s easy on the eye. This color is a nice one to have but it took me about three coats to cover my nail.
Authority Cosmetics has nice nails colors and there are a lot more I would like to try and see how they look on the nails. But they did say they are going to have new colors come out and that makes me happy 🙂
