Crafts inspired by the My Knight and Me cartoon series!

My Knight and Me is a medieval comedy starring Henri of Orange, a charmingly inept
but chivalrous knight, his clever son Jimmy the Squire, and fun-loving Cat the
Princess, Jimmy’s best friend from Epic High. All together the knightly trio set out
to make the Dark Ages a little lighter…..and a whole lot more fun.

The series models close family ties (Jimmy thinks his dad is the best!), emphasizes the importance of teamwork (together, Jimmy, Cat and Henri can overcome any challenge  that comes their way!) and underscores the importance of using strategy over might to solve problems (Jimmy is the man with a plan!). My Knight and Me also features clever anachronisms (like Smart-Mirrors that resemble today’s iPhones, set in the Middle Ages), which add to the uniqueness of the show.

I want to show you a few of the 1000’s great crafts that you can create at home using everyday items:

Crown from Construction Paper:

Supplies: Construction paper, glue, scissors and any décor the kids want (i.e. marker, jewels, stickers, etc)

This is a really easy craft to create with the kids. First, using scissors cut a design around one side of the crown. It can be in points or scallop but you can use scrapbook scissors that cut the design. Next, using glue or tape, secure the paper together in a round shape that will fit your child’s head. Let your child color or put stickers, jewels on the crown to make it their own!

Sword from Paper Towel Rolls:

My nephew loves the swords. He has been playing with them for hours and has even made several more. Only problem, he rolled all the paper towels off the roll just to get the tube!

Supplies:

Several paper towel rolls (depending on length), duct tape, wasbi tape and markers or stickers

To make a long sword, take 3 paper towel rolls and use duct tape to secure them together end to end. We took a fourth roll and cut a section of the center out to secure for a handle. Let the kids then use colored duct tape, wasbi tape or whatever their heart desires to decorate their sword.

My nephew Zack has been binge watching My Knight and Me online and is excited for the new episodes coming!
